Hanging with Joseph We took a cemetery tour with Joseph as well as a tour of the historic churches in Centro. His tours are very interesting and quite witty. Thoroughly enjoyed our time with him.

Cemetery Tour - week before Dia de Muertos We had two families that went on the Joseph Toone's Cemetery Tour the week of Dia de Muertos. We met in front of Hotel Real de Minas and then had a short walk to the Cemetery. Joseph was very informative - we got history, culture, and current state of affairs. There was not too much walking even for the kiddos. We look forward to taking more of his tours.

Great tour for the family Joseph was a fantastic and knowledgeable tour guide. We took his History and Culture tour which moved through several churches and plazas in the centro of San Miguel. He made the experience accessible to the entire group including my 8 and 10 year old kids.

A Must! I’m a cultural anthropologist from NYC and found this two-hour tour amazingly fascinating and rich. A wonderful description of indigenous, iconography, and meeting combined with the Catholic traditions of the area!

Walking Tour Joseph is very personable and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the history of San Miguel by visiting various churches in the central area. Many details and many interesting facts about saints and the intermingling of indigenous peoples, and the Catholic Church in Mexico‘s history.

Highlight of the trip!! My husband and I had never been to San Miguel and Joseph's tour brought this beautiful city to life for us!! We enjoyed it so much that we booked another tour during the same trip and we were only there for four days!! He is a walking encyclopedia for history, culture, food of San Miguel! I highly recommend that you include his tour in your San Miguel itinerary!

Excellent tour Joseph Toone's tour was amazing! We all thoroughly enjoyed this tour. To better understand the influencing factors of San Miguel de Allende's beginning and why you see many of the events and festivites that occur, I highly recommend this tour. Mr Toone is a wealth of knowledge and certainly will give you further insight on what has made the town what it is today.

Great tour and an excellent star to our visit to San Miguel de Allende My wife and I had a wonderful time on Joseph Toone's "History and Culture" tour in San Miguel de Allende this past week! Josehp is an expat from Pennsylvania who has lived in SMA for many years and has immersed himself in the traditions and ways of life there. He is very knowledgeable about the area's rich culture, it religious impact and history and expresses this knowledge quite eloquently. The tour opened our eyes in a number of ways and was a fantastic way to star our 5-day visit. We highly recommend this tour!
